What's included

• Pruning - removing damaged, crossing or poorly placed branches to improve structure and health
• Crown thinning - selectively removing branches to let more light and wind through, useful on exposed coastal trees where a dense crown catches too much wind load
• Crown raising - removing lower branches to clear paths, driveways or sightlines
• Crown reduction - reducing overall size while keeping a natural shape, for trees that have outgrown their space
• Deadwooding - removing dead branches for safety, especially over paths, patios or parking

TPOs and the conservation area

Many mature trees in the Whitstable Conservation Area, and individually protected trees elsewhere (Tree Preservation Orders), need formal permission before any work. We check both before quoting and handle the application where it's needed - included in the price, not an extra.

Pricing

Tree work is priced individually based on species, height, access and how much of the crown is being worked. We give a fixed price after a site visit for anything beyond straightforward deadwooding.
