What we're actually assessing

Two things decide whether reclamation is realistic: species (deciduous hedges tolerate a hard renovation cut far better than conifers) and how much genuinely green, live growth remains close to the desired final size. A privet or hawthorn hedge that's run to 4 metres can often be renovated hard in one go and will resprout from old wood. A leylandii in the same state usually can't - see conifer and leylandii hedges.

Pricing

Reclamation jobs are priced individually after a site visit, typically £400 – £1,200 depending on length and whether the plan spans multiple visits.
